The first  Metro Turkey Trot to be held on the fringes of the Blue Mountains at Lapstone had 90 entries including EOD entries for the Mini Turkey Trot.

There were some remarkable times.

Alistair George, Big Foot, 1:45:18, took 1st place in Mens Long closely followed by Andrew Hill, WHO, 1:45:58, only 40 seconds behind. Bart Vonhoff came in 3rd at 1:48:06

Womens Long achievers were: Paula Shingler, Big Foot, 2:14:25; Nicole Mealing, Big Foot, 2:24:57 and Ellen Braybon, 3:07:01. Their times indicate that this was a pretty tough course.

Mens Medium winner was Duncan Currie, Garingal, 1:09:13. Ewan Shingler Big Foot, 1:12:48, was in second place followed by Peter Fozo, Garingal, 1:17:16.

Womens Medium top three places were: Aniko Fozo-Kertesz, Garingal, 1:17:27; Rebecca George, Big Foot, 1:30:24; Sharon Lambert, Bennelong, 2:10:03.

In Mens Short Simon George, Big Foot, broke the hour coming in at 56:57. Alex Kennedy, Garingal, came in the 2nd position, 1:02:07, only 5:10 behind. Nick Stanley, Garingal, 1:03:15, made it easily into 3rd place.

In Womens Short Georgia Jones, Uringa, almost broke the hour at 1:01:16. 2nd place was Nikolett Halmai, Garingal, 1:02:22. Not far behind in third position was Alitia Dougal, Bennelong, 1:04:42.

There were 19 starters for the EOD Turkey Trot Minis. Matt Hackett, WHO, took first place in the Long Moderate, 37:20. Dave Lotty, Uringa, at 42:02 led the field in the Short Moderate. Curtis Pepper, Bennelong, flew through the Easy course to finish in only 9:20.
